Bankruptcies worldwide rise to 10-year high in 2024 - Dun & Bradstreet

The number of bankruptcies in the world's major economies rose last year, reaching a 10-year high - amid structural changes in business, declining consumer demand, high interest rates, and shifts in supply chains.
Of the 47 economies monitored by the information and analytical company Dun & Bradstreet, the number of bankruptcies increased in 32 countries.
The number of bankruptcies increased the most last year in Ukraine (126%), Singapore (40%), Belarus (39%), Australia (37%), Canada (35%), and Romania (35%). At the same time, the number of bankrupt companies fell in Greece (-48%), Colombia (-43%), and China (-31%).
